Awards for Volunteers

Volunteering Wirral delivers a range of  recognition schemes that are available to volunteers in Wirral.

100 Hours Certificate

After registering a volunteer with the scheme you simply need to keep a log of the hours that you volunteer completes with you.

Once a volunteer reaches 100 hours and you have submitted the paperwork, they will be invited to one of our annual volunteer

awards ceremonies to be presented with their 100 Hours certificate by the Mayor of Wirral. Most volunteers can achieve their 100

hours certificate in 6 - 12 months.

Long Service Award

For volunteers that have been involved with your organisation for a little longer, we can help you to access the Long Service Awards.

Volunteers are awarded a Bronze Medallion for 3 years volunteering service, Silver for 5 years and Gold and Platinum for 10 and 20

years respectively. Awards are presented at one of our annual awards ceremonies.

Volunteer of the Year Awards

This is our most prestigious award for volunteers and is open to nominations for any Wirral volunteer. Nominations can be made by

members of the public as well as Volunteer Organisers and nominees are assessed in one of six categories - Disability, Elder, Sports,

Unwaged, Waged and Youth. Each category will have one winner.  One of the category winners is then selected as the Volunteer

of the Year.  Nominations for the 2012 Volunteer of the Year award will be open in March.
