About Volunteering Wirral
Volunteering Wirral was created as a result of the coming together of five Volunteer Centres in Wirral. The original offices in Bebington, Heswall, Hamilton Square, Wallasey and West Kirby worked closely as a network to provide a volunteering support service across Wirral, however it has long been recognised that duplication and competition for funding existed.
In 2006 The Volunteer Centre Network in Wirral achieve Volunteering England's Quality Standards as a network and the process of bringing the Volunteer Centres together came a step closer. In 2009 Volunteering Wirral was awarded funding by The Big Lottery Fund and now operates as one service right across Wirral.
Volunteering Wirral is a partnership project between Wirral CVS and VCA Wirral
