Awards for Volunteers
100 Hours Certificate Once your organisation has registered you for this scheme they will keep a log of the hours that you do. Once you reach 100 hours you will be eligible to receive a certificate at the next award ceremony. Most volunteers manage to achieve their 100 hours certificate in around 6 - 12 months.
Long Service Awards If you have been a volunteer for a while the organisation you are volunteering with can nominate you for one of these awards. 3 years of volunteering qualifies you for the Bronze Award; 5 years for the Silver award and 10 and 20 years for the Gold and Platinum awards respectively.
Volunteer of the Year Award Any Wirral volunteer can be nominated for this award, and anyone can make a nomination. All of the volunteers nominated are assessed by an independent panel and awards are given for six different categories - Disability, Elder, Sports, Unwaged, Waged and Youth. Each category will have one winner. One of the category winners is then selected as the Volunteer of the Year.. This is our most prestigious event and is a fantastic evening of celebration.
For further information about any of these awards please contact your local Volunteering Wirral office. |
